DG Rail Anil Palta reviews law and order at Tatanagar

Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Director General (DG) of Railway Police, Anil Palta, visited Tatanagar rail district here on Monday. He held a meeting with the department officials concerned and reviewed the law and order situation. He directed the officials to focus on prevention of crimes and disposal of pending cases. He inspected the office of the Superintendent of Rail Police Rishabh Jha and inquired about the status of pending cases and crime in the rail district. The SP told the DG about the manpower crisis being faced by the Tatanagar Rail police. The DG, while acknowledging the manpower shortage, said eight sub-inspectors had been requisitioned from the department. He said crime control measures would be taken jointly with the Railway Protection Force (RPF). A joint meeting of RPF and Government Rail Police (GRP) would be convened soon, he said.
