Demand for replacement of worn-out electric poles and wires in Mango

Jamshedpur, Nov 27: In the absence of the General Manager in the Electricity Department office, a memorandum was submitted by a delegation of District Congress on Saturday to the Executive Engineer Harishankar Tiwari, demanding elimination of persisting power problems.

Through a memorandum submitted to the Executive Engineer under the leadership of Congress District Vice President Ansar Khan, it was demanded of the General Manager of Electricity Department Jamshedpur Circle to replace the worn-out electric poles in Jawahar Nagar, Baganshahi, Old Purulia Road and Daiguttu in Mango area. The memorandum also demanded repair and replacement of wires in localities where they were found to be dangling or were very old. The Congress delegation pointed out that power connections provided to Tejinder Kaur’s hotel were through wires connected over the bamboo pole and passed across the middle of NH 33 and which could break and cause major accidents.

The Executive Engineer assured that the dilapidated poles and worn-out wires would be replaced within one week. The other members of the district Congress delegation included Riazuddin Khan, Sardar Gurdeep Singh, Lalbabu, Arshad Khan, Anant Lal, Zafar Iqbal, Ranjit Singh, Baldev Singh, Sardar Goldie Singh, Mohammad Aaqib, Shamsher Ali, Mohammad Rameez and others.
