Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar visited the proposed venue for Sardar Patel Jayanti celebrations at Bistupur here on Saturday.
He issued a slew of instructions to the district administration officials and representatives of JUSCO to ensure a grand success of the forthcoming event �Run For Unity�, scheduled to be held on 31st October on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel.
Significantly, Chief Minister Raghubar Das had visited Bistupur yesterday to inspect preparations for the forthcoming event. Run For Unity is expected to pull a huge crowd comprising people from all walks of life.
The DC said more than 10,000 people are expected to attend the Run For Unity. A cultural programme would be organized at Sidhgora Town Hall in the evening. He appealed to the people of Jamshedpur including representatives of various government and private organizations to attend the event in large numbers. He said the traffic arrangement in the city would be modified to ensure there is no problem during the event.
The DC was accompanied by DDC Suraj Kumar, SDO Madhavi Mishra, NEP Director Ranjana Mishra and other district officials.
