Jamshedpur, September 27: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav inspected Durga puja pandals and the important roundabouts in the Jugsalai municipality areas.
The inspection was aimed at gauging administrative preparedness for the Durga puja festivity which will be held in full gusto after a span of two years owing to the Covid induced restriction.
She reviewed the CCTV installation, electricity and parking arrangements in the puja pandals and the condition of the roads along the immersion route chart along with ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal and executive officer JP Yadav.
The procession route were narrow at some places, as there were encroachments on the roads while at certain stretches the drains were open, construction materials were found lying on the way along with dangling electric wires.
During the inspection, directive were issued to remove the illegal hoardings installed at Veer Kunar Singh Chowk.
She also enquired if the Air Quality Monitoring System works or not.
Deputy Commissioner inspected the newly built Municipal Council office, checked the quality of construction work and instructed to rectify them before handover to the on-site contractor.
The office building of the city council is of four floors, in which offices will be located on the first two floors, a marketing complex of a total of 21 shops on the third floor and open space hall has been constructed on the fourth floor. Finishing work of all four floors, quality of doors and windows, lift ladders etc.
During the inspection, the District Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the progress of the construction work of the newly constructed Jugsalai Park and directed the contractor to complete the construction work by the stipulated time period 15 October.
