Gamharia, Sept 14: The community COVID-19 vaccination center organized by Tata Steel Project Limited (TSPL) at Vidyasagar Siksha Niketan, Bada Gamharia was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal. While thanking the Tata Steel Long Project Company management, the DC said that this camp was organized with the aim of adding pace to the COVID vaccine campaign in the district that made the TSPL venture more commendable.
DC Arava Rajkamal He said that the company had set a target of inoculating 50 thousand people in the district with the COVID vaccine doses. The Deputy Commissioner said that in future, vaccination will be provided by organizing special camps in other blocks by the company. While stating the importance of COVID vaccination in prevention of coronavirus infection, he gave examples of other countries and said that vaccination was very important as protection against the viral infection. He appealed to the people present to motivate their families, relatives and those in their localities to take the COVID shots.
In his address at the camp, Additional Deputy Commissioner Subodh Kumar thanked TSPL for extending cooperation to the district administration in furthering the vaccination drive. He said that during the critical COVID period too companies including Tata Project had cooperated with the district administration under their CSR policies. The ADC said that the coronavirus vaccine was essential to avoid the viral infection. “You yourself should take the vaccine and motivate your loved ones too so that more and more people can be protected against the dangerous infection.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner also inspected the vaccination centers being run by Tata Project Limited. The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the people who came to the center and thanked them for being a part of the vaccination campaign.
Another vaccination camp organized by TSPL in Sisodia Panchayat of Rajnagar Block was inaugurated by Jharkhand Minister Champai Soren. Local villagers including those from nearby areas took their vaccine shots at this camp.
