DBMS students pledge to preserve Mother Earth

Jamshedpur, April 22: The Primary and Middle school students of D.B.M.S English School celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April, 2021,  and participated enthusiastically in various online activities.

 On the occasion of Earth Day, a variety of creative activities was organized with a view to sensitize the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards saving their planet.

The day began with video presentations made by the teachers on the importance of saving the Earth and the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their planet.

 The Primary level students, colourfully dressed in Earth colours, made beautiful cards, crowns, paper bags, did vegetable and palm printing  with inspiring quotes and learnt the art of reducing, reusing and recycling. They danced, sang and recited poems, they ate green food (healthy) paying tribute to Mother Earth.

The Middle School children participated in Fancy Dress, Best out of Waste, Poster Making, Drawing and Painting, Slogan Writing, Quiz and a Fashion Show with dresses made out waste. This gave the students a platform to showcase their artistic and creative skills and they were also motivated to spread the message of ways to save the Earth’s resources.

The parents were proud to see their children taking part in such activities.

 On this occasion, the Principal, Rajani Shekhar, praised the efforts of all the students and teachers and asked them to thank Mother Earth for all her bountiful gifts. She reminded the children of the pledge they had taken, and to make Every Day Earth Day .
