DAV NIT holds graduation ceremony for Class 12 students


    Jamshedpur, Feb. 6: DAV Public School NIT bid farewell to graduating batch of class 12 science and commerce students for the session 2015-2016 at the school premises on Saturday.

    As many as 194 students of whom 124 from science and 70 from commerce stream were given perfect send off by the school. Six students of the batch were honored with a special prize for their exceptional contribution in academics, sports, 100 percent attendance and various co curricular activities of the school.

    The function began with the traditional rituals hawan where D. P Shastri, school’s sanskrit teacher, prayed for student’s well being and a successful journey ahead in the years to come. Following this, the principal of the school O.P Mishra blessed the students for their bright future and successful life.

    It was an emotional moment for students, teachers and the principal when they were singing a farewell song in groups besides sharing their experiences, emotions and feelings they had in the school till date.

    Earlier, all the class teachers of Std 12 gave away the mementos to students of their respective classes and blessed them for a good result in the forthcoming board examination.

    Students in the end sought blessings from all the teachers including the one who nurtured them from junior classes up to this level. The program ended with a lavish lunch where the school management, teachers and staffs were present.
