CS reviews Manatu and Palamu on 35 point fixed agenda


    Ranchi: In order to become face-to-face with schemes being run in 58 panchayat areas and 101 villages under Manatu Action Plan and 13 Focus Area Developmental Plan, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Principal Sec, Home S. K. G. Rahate, DGP D. K. Pandey and senior officers of the state reached Manatu block in Palamu and deeply reviewed 35 point fixed agenda and its benefits to the villagers.

    Addressing the meeting, the CS said that schemes run under Manatu Action Plan and 13 focus area developmental plan have changed the condition of the area and uplifted the life style of the people living in the area. She said that she was concerned about the result of the schemes rather than the figures.

    So work should be done on mission mode.

    In the meeting, the physical condition of health, education, welfare, social welfare, MGNREGA, skill development, social security, PDS, drinking water supply, agriculture, gardening, animal husbandry, fisheries, bovine development etc. schemes running in the areas were discussed at large.

    Dropout, MDM, admission of children and orphans in the 62 schools running in the areas were also discussed. She directed that students should be admitted in residential schools of welfare dept. and Kasturba schools and these schools should be provided MDM regularly.

    Reviewing the Social Welfare Department, the CS said that the charge of DWO should be given to the senior most Child Project Officer so that schemes run for the children and women should be run under the supervision of a women officer. She directed to coordinate with sahiyas of Health Dept. and ensure food distribution and regular immunization to pregnant women and infant.

    The Civil Surgeon said that 4 health sub-centers and 1 primary health center are being run. 7 new health sub-centers are proposed to the govt. and 1008 divyangs have been checked up by conducting a camp in naxal affected areas. More than 40% divyangs have been given medical certificate.

    18 youths have been trained under Manatu Action Plan at TSP and SGRS run under Jharkhand Skill Development. 38 PDS are approved under Manatu Action Plan. The CS directed to allot PDS to sakhi mandal women. She said to approve widow pension, old age pension etc. on spot. The benefits of the schemes run under agriculture dept. should be given to local people.

    During review of naxal affected areas, Principal Sec, Home S. K. G. Rahate and DGP D. K. Pandey directed the officers to increase coordination with the people by conducting health checkup camps, social policing & promotion of sports. Palamu SP said that process of appointment of asst.

    police in police dept. has been started. The CS directed to develop separate software in NIC for the home guards. Apart from that, it was directed to make DPR of road construction from Mahudand to Lathaiya.

    Senior officers of different department were present in the meeting.
