Jamshedpur, Jan 23: On the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Sunday, January 23, Chairman of Subhas Cultural Council, Shekhar Dey paid homage to Netaji by garlanding the statue of the patriot at the SreeLeathers complex in Bistupur. He also paid floral tributes to Netaji at a programme organized at The Milanee, Sakchi Ambagan Maidan and Adityapur. However, no expansive programme was organized in any venue to maintain the government’s COVID protocols.
Shekhar Dey observed, “Netaji Subhas Bose was an out and out patriot who nurtured many dreams for people of independent India. He had envisioned a nation in which Peace, Prosperity and Progress would prevail through generations. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had nurtured many dreams for citizens of his Motherland and to him nothing else mattered but the freedom of India from British Bondage. But it is a pity that his and other freedom fighters’ dreams yet remain unfulfilled. It should be our combined effort to realize the dreams of the great patriot, Netaji Subhas Bose.”
