Jamshedpur, June 14: With just 27 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Monday dipped below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May.
The positivity rate stood at 0.55% on Monday, a dip from 0.69% the previous day. City on Monday reported zero new COVID-19 deaths, leaving the district’s death toll unmoved for the fourth consecutive day. Jamshedpur also reported 27 positive cases while 172 people recovered of the virus on Monday.
Active Covid-19 cases in the district has dropped down to 276 after 172 patients were discharged from hospitals and Covid care centres on Monday. Of the 276 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reported 27 new cases, which took its overall tally to 51,279.
More than 4500 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.55%.The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.
The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum has reached 1044 and the total cases 51279.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.55 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 4500 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 4884 samples, of which, 27 turned out positive while 172 people recovered from the Covid-19 on Monday, June 14. The continuous high number of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.55 per cent, the government data showed.
The recovery rate has climbed to 97.48% while the active cases have come down to 276.
172 positive people recovered of the virus on Monday pushing the recovery mark to 49959.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 375688 test per million in the district.
As per the records of health department out of 4884 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 27 were found positive.
Over 4500 COVID-19 tests, including 1949 RT-PCR and 2652 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.48% while the mortality rate is 2.04%.
So far in Jamshedpur 1005143 samples have been collected out of which 1000082 have been tested and 948803 have turned out to be negative.
