Mail News ServiceJamshedpur, May 9: The 161st birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated at Srinath University in the form of Collage Competition for students of B Ed, D El Ed, BBA, MBA, BCA, BFA and other streams. The event was coordinated by Assistant Professors Ganesh Mahto and Nalin Chandra. Neha and group of D El Ed bagged the first prize followed by Piyali and group of B Ed stream at the second spot while Robin and group also of B Ed stream came in third. Srinath University Secretary, Gurudev Mahto observed that such competitions introduced students to the life, work and achievements of legendary persons and imbibe their qualities to make headway in their individual lines of pursuit. Professor In-charge Dr Bhavya Bhushan said that Rabindranath Tagore was not only a literary genius but also a genuine and deep rooted nature lover and his experiences and impressions on nature found mentions in almost all his compositions.
