Ranchi, July 18:�Summoning people to come forward to rebuild Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government is committed for making a strong, affluent and self dependent state. He said it while addressing a vast gathering of people in Poor Welfare Fair.
Addressing the people after having laid foundation stones and inaugurated 145 schemes worth Rs. 444.88 crore, he said that the govt. is committed for development of state. He distributed appointment letters to 49 junior engineers and gave papers for house building to 4 families whose people were killed in terrorist violence.� He also distributed appointment letters to 3 persons working as ATM and BTM.
The CM presented certificates to 22 youths who got training under skill development program and forest right patta to 15 people. Moreover, five ambulances which were bought from MP fund with the cost of Rs. 48.57 lakh were distributed�and six patrolling vehicles were also provided to police for making the area crime free.
On this occasion, he distributed Rs. 1384 lakh among 3977 beneficiaries under the Prime Minister MUDRA Yojana�s Shishu scheme, Rs. 969 lakh were distributed among 414 people under Kishor Yojana and Rs. 554 lakh among 76 people under Tarun Yojana.
He also distributed Rs. 120 lakh among 20 persons for purchasing vehicles and Rs. 239 lakh to 26 people for building homes.
Rs. 1611.15 lakh were distributed among 3060 families under KCC scheme and Rs. 99 lakh was given to 28 persons for education.
Praising the �Disha� program initiated by Giridih administration, the CM said that the use of IT will play a vital role in reforming educational system.� He said that a degree college at Pirtand has been approved and nine nursing colleges will be opened in the state in the days to come. He appealed people to educate their daughters.
Planting seedlings in J. C. Bose Girls School, the CM said that the state government is running a tree plantation drive and people should come forward and plant as many trees as possible. He appealed to make this drive a public movement.
Focusing on the necessity of tree plantation, the CM said that it helps in maintaining the ecology and provides a lot of herbs and medicines. Stressing at water conservation, he said that more than 1 lakh dovas (farm ponds) have been dug in the state.
The CM further said that agriculture, animal husbandry, gardening and dairy farming will boost up income of the people. Energy revolution, apart from white revolution, is to be incorporated with to make the state a power hub. In addition, 4000 MW electricity will be produced from PTPS.
He said that security and law and order are top priorities of the state government. Das summoned people to get together against Naxalism.
MP Ravindra Rai, MLAs Nirbhay Sahabadi, Kedar Hazra, Jai Prakash Verma, Giridih deputy commissioner Uma Shankar Singh, SP Akhilesh B. Warrior and people in great numbers were present on this occasion.
