CM lays foundation stones of Rs. 490 cr roadways projects

Ranchi, April 18: Chief Minister Raghubar Das laid foundation stones of Rs. 490 crore roadways projects and dedicated them to people Shisai, Gumla, on Monday.

He said that bridges not only minimize distances but reflect the development of the state also. He said that the farmers can take their produce directly to the market which will minimize the role of middlemen.

Expressing his faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi�s commitment of �Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash,� Das said that he has summoned the deviated youths to come in the mainstream as the government is ready to think over their condition generously and rehabilitate them.

Warning the miscreants he said that the law will deal with them strictly. He underlined the importance of women empowerment and said that the state government is running many projects like �Pahle Padhai, Phir Bidayee� in the line of �Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao� scheme run by the Union government He said that some juvenile girls refused to marry and presented precedent before everyone to pursue their studies.

Expressing his concern about water scarcity, the CM said that the government has made a prudent plan to sort out water scarcity. The rain water will be collected and used as per requirement. Ponds and dovas are being made and existing water resources are being rejuvenated.

He said that his government is the government of 3.29 crore people of the state. He directed the Gumla DC to prepare schemes keeping all section of society in view.

Laying stress on the concept of development, the CM said that the state can develop only with the combined efforts of administration, government and people. He said that the government only assists. Development is brought about by people. He said that widows of all sections of society will be given pension.

The CM said that the Bharat Gramodaya Yojana will be launched in the leadership of Prime Minister Narandra Modi on April 24. The state Information and Public Relation Department has been instructed for live telecast of the program.

Union Minister of State Sudarshan Bhagat urged the CM to identify the tourism spots of the district and develop it by making blueprint.

Sisai MLA and Speaker of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Dinesh Oraon said that the people of Sisai are ready for development.

He said that Das has been true to his commitments and the development is visible on the ground.

Principal secretary, Road Construction Department Mast Ram Meena said that foundation stone for eight roads has been laid and they have been dedicated to people.

The roads for which foundation stone has been laid are – Sisai- Bhandara, Kumahari- Jhatani Toil via Nawadih, Toto- Anjandham, Banari- Banalat, Dumri- Bhikhampur-Govindpur, Bakutoli-Kurkura-Bano, Gumla- bypass and Sisai- Ghaghara. The Palkot-Konbir Road has been dedicated to the people.

On this occasion, Gumla Zila Parishad chairperson Kiran Mala Bara, Lohardaga Zila Parishad chairperson Sunaina Devi, ex- MLA Sisai Samir Oraon, ex- MLA Gumla Kamlesh Oraon, vice-chairman of Bees-Sutri Karyakram Heera Sahu, chief engineer, Road Construction Department Ras Bihari Singh, SP and DDC, Gumla, were present.
