Jamshedpur, March 13: With reference to Jamshedpur, the chief minister said that with Tata Steel augmenting its production capacity from 10 to 11 million tons per annum it has become all the more important to improve road infrastructure.
“During a recent meeting with Tata Sons chairman Cyrus P Mistry in Mumbai, I had expressed need to increase the production capacity to around 15 million tonne per annum. For this we need to better the road infrastructure,” said Das addressing the gathering.
CM added, Tata steel has been given clearance for eastern corridor and Jharkhand Govt. is hopeful that Tata management will start the project soon.
He said- there is a heavy load of traffic in Jamshedpur and people face pollution related problems too. Very soon various road projects will be completed and localites of Jamshedpur will have a relief from jam packed routine.
CM informed the gathering that DPR for 6 lane Jamshedpur-Ranchi-Dhanbad golden triangle is ready & with the assistance of central Govt. 4 laning of national highway is going on.
After its completion state govt. will construct 2 more lanes.
