CM emphasizes on good governance, accountability

Ranchi, Feb. 9: Talking with the Principal Secretaries / Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and district Deputy Commissioners on developmental schemes in the state, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that good governance and accountability is the priority of his government.

People-centered development is the key to good governance. He said that the entire system should work for the people in a systematic way. Implementation of water conservation, agriculture, disaster management, tube wells, forest right lease, CM Tribal Development Scheme, rural drinking water supply and others should be done properly.

He said it in the review meeting with Principal Secretaries/ Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and DCs on developmental schemes in the state at Project Building.

Das reviewed MLA fund, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana and Forest Right Lease also. He directed to complete the meeting of schedule area and Adiwasi Vikas Parisad on district level. The mission of Clean Jharkhand should be done by 2018.

Rural Development Department intimated the CM with the development of Yojana Banao Abhiyan. He said that nearly 2 lakh schemes have been identified by villagers in 120 blocks. Apart from land leveling, soil dam, pond, dova, well, animal shed etc. are proposed. It will maintain 3%-5% underground water level.

During the review of MGNAREGA scheme, the CM directed to create more working days, get it approved by panchayat samity and district council and complete the data entry work by February 22.

Henceforth, district deputy commissioners will review MGNAREGA every day. The divisional commissioner will review it once a week. It was also directed to approve the targeted cent percent scheme of Indira Awas Yojana and provide the fund as soon as possible.

The DCs also put forth their views on implementation of the schemes.

Chief secretary Rajiv Gauba, Development Commissioner-cum-Principal Secretary, Finance, Amit Khare, Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar, RDD Principal Secretary N.N. Sinha, Secretary to CM Sunil Kr. Burnwal and secretaries and divisional commissioners were present in this meeting.
