CM dedicates Shaurya Smarak Park to martyred soldiers

Ranchi, Oct. 20: Addressing people after inaugurating Siddo-Kanho Park, also named as Shaurya Smarak Park, in Lakhikundi village, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on Thursday that the park will be dedicated to the brave martyrs and soldiers.

He suggested building an open auditorium in future depicting the sacrifices and bravery of army and soldiers of Jharkhand. He asked everyone belonging to Dumka and Santhal Pargana to contribute to the beautification of the park.

Advocating for Sarva Dharma Samabhava (equal respect to all religions) the CM said that India can be the teacher of the world only if we are able to keep our religion, culture and tradition permanent. He said that he has respect for all religions and that people who indulge in politics of religion are dividing the society. Instead of shouting slogans for tribal and aboriginals, they should work for them.

Das said that employment opportunities could be created by developing tourism. The government of Jharkhand has planned to take one BPL person along with an attendant on a pilgrimage throughout the nation. In a philosophical tone, the CM said that everyone looks forward to pass his time with peace. He said that the people should keep this park neat and clean and added that when he comes to Dumka, he will visit this park.

In her address, Welfare Minister Louis Marandi said that the present government was giving Dumka the shape of a sub-capital awaited long by the people. He said that the Singhara Pokhar dumping yard which is in the center of the city will be shifted to the outskirts and the drainage system will be improved.

Dumka DC Rahul Kumar Sinha said that it was a historic day and affirmed that he got inspiration for building this park from the CM and thanked all officers for extending their support in setting up the park.

Prior to this, the CM was received traditionally with �Lota Pani�.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Santhal Prgana Division commissioner Baleshwar Singh, DIG Akhilesh Jha, Dumka SP Prabhat Kumar and other respectable people were also present.
