Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday asked party workers to be reared up for municipal polls. While addressing a BJP’s workers conference at S-Type Football ground in Adityapur in the wake of the Adityapur municipal corporation elections in adjoining Seraikela-Kharsaway district this evening, Das said municipal poll is equally important for the development of any civil society and it is in no way insignificant in comparison of assembly or Parliamentary elections.

He called upon the party men to work hard for garnering supports from the voters for the victory of VinodSrivastava and Amitab Singh who are the party candidates for the post of mayor and deputy mayor respectively in the Adityapur municipal corporation poll slated to be held on April 16.

We need to work at grass root level and spread partys vision. Our Government will ensure that the development work is carried smoothly. However, if they find any irregularities they can raise their voice, said Das.

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand RaghubarDas said that the Government is dedicated towards development of State with special focus on rural areas. He said that the people will reap the benefits of the several welfare schemes is his Governments priority.Das said the government would work efficiently in bringing speedy development, providing basic amenities and improving policing. He also said that ensuring corruption free governance is his foremost priority.

“Party workers who go for morning walk should not return home directly should go for a door to door campaign approaching the voters for support the party candidates. If you approach the voters by going over to the voters with folded hands, then they would definitely reciprocate positively. When I had own the Jamshedpur East Assembly seat in the year 1995 for the first time,

I and my supporters had also done the same,” observed the chief minister.
Without referring to the BJP’s rebel candidate, Ganga Prasad Sharma, Raghubar said that during his maidan contest for the Jamshedpur East assembly seat, former BJP legislator Dinanath Pandey had also contested from the same seat.

“It was only because of the committed party workers that the voters of the Jamshedpur East constituency had voted in my favour,” the chief minister said.
