Jamshedpur: A cleanliness cum repair drive was launched in Jilinggora under Gamharia block on Tuesday. The officer in-charge of Gamharia PS Jai Prakash Rana monitored the work. Local residens and members of Chhath Ghat Seva Samiti also contributed in the campaign. Excavator machines were pressed into service to level the approach road leading to the Chhath ghat. The OC said there is no dispute over Chhath celebration in Jilinggora. He said the residents had stopped people from passing through the village due to the poor condition of the road. He said the villagers wanted to prevent mishaps on the road.
