Jamshedpur: The vice president, trade and commerce, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bharat Vasani has written to the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren regarding the seizure of trucks carrying potatoes by the West Bengal government.
He has said that the seizure of potato trucks of Jharkhand based traders has led the potato price to soar in Jamshedpur and other parts of the state.
He said the state government should talk to the West Bengal government and seek release of the vehicles carrying potatoes. Vasani said even those consignments whose price has been paid have been withheld by the West Bengal government.
