Jamshedpur, Nov 22: A speeding car coming from Jamshedpur rammed into an 11 thousand volt electric pole late in the night in Haldipokhar area of East Singhbhum district. The occupants of the car narrowly escaped in the mishap. As soon as the car hit the electric pole, it split into two pieces, which averted a major accident. Electricity supply was disrupted in Haldipokhar market after the accident. In relation to the incident, it is being said that Anand Bhoot, a resident of Rairangpur in Odisha, had gone to Devghar Babadham with his family to offer prayers. While returning, the car hit an 11 thousand volt electric pole late on Monday night, due to which the iron pole was split into two pieces, due to which the power supply has been disrupted in 200 shops of Haldipokhar market. Simultaneously, electricity has been cut in hundreds of homes. The incident was reported to the Kovali police station by the local people. The car was immediately removed from the roadside.
