Jamshedpur : About 28 passengers were injured two of them seriously when a passenger bus they were traveling overturned on Keonjhar Road under NH 75 at Chaibasa. The passenger bus named Hariom overturned as its driver tried to save a motorcycle rider.After getting the information, the police reached the spot and carried the rescue work.
According to information the bus was coming from Gua towards Chaibasa when suddenly at Hathgamariya Baljodi, a bike rider tried to overtake the bus. The driver while saving the rider lost its control and the bus got overturned. The injured were immediately rushed to local hospital. At the same time, after the accident, the traffic movement was interrupted for some time.
A long queue of trucks, trailers and other mode of vehicles had been made as the vehicular communication came to a standstill due to the blockade. Commuters had to suffer immensely.
As this was the prominent road for plying of trucks and trailers carrying goods, this caused great inconvenience to the local residents and also others. When the two-wheelers and pedestrians took to other routes, those in four-wheelers and three wheelers remained stuck up in the jam.
