Blood donation drive collects 104 units

Jamshedpur, Dec. 8: Indian Red Cross Society on Tuesday organized a blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhawan in Sakchi. Conducted to augment the continuous supply of blood to the Jamshedpur Blood Bank which is facing a shortage of blood, the camp received an enthusiastic response from the donors. 104 units of blood were collected during the day-long camp. 

This blood donation camp has been sponsored by Chandulal Bhalotia Social Welfare Trust in memory of Chandulal Bhalotia, noted social worker and Patron of IRCS.  Speaking at the inauguration of the camp, Ashok Bhalotia, President, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Trust, expressed his gratitude to the blood donors as well as to IRCS for undertaking such a humanitarian effort and hoped that Jamshedpur youth will always come forward to donate blood so that the Jamshedpur Blood Bank is able to meet the demand of blood.  On the occasion, Ramesh Bhalotia, Ajay Bhalotia, Rupa Bhalotia, Abhishek Bhalotia, Aditya Bhalotia, Akshat Bhalotia, members of Chandulal Bhalotia Social Welfare Trust, Umesh Shah, President, District Marwadi Sammelan, Naresh Modi, President, Modi Charitable Trust, Ashok Modi, Secretary District Marwadi Sammelan and Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, IRCS, were also present.

Members and volunteers of IRCS and staff from the Jamshedpur Blood Bank put in efforts to make the Blood Donation Camp a success.
