Jamshedpur: A blood donation camp was organized at Kreeda Bhavan, Khasmahal, in Parsudih on Sunday under the aegis of the city-based NGO Healthy Humanity and Asian Paints. A total of 159 units of blood were collected on this occasion. Praising the organizers, SSP Anoop T Mathew, who was invited as a guest, said blood donation was a great humanitarian act. He said everyone should donate blood to save the lives of ailing and distressed patients.
The senior sales manager of Asian Paints, Abhijeet Nanda, said donating blood was important to save human lives. He said the people of Jamshedpur are known for participating in blood donation programmes actively.
Among those present during the camp today include the deputy commandant of RAF 106 Battalion Anami Sharan, the commanding officer of Sonari Army camp Colonel Neeraj Singh, PAC member of Indian Railway Board Dr Ashok Tripathy, Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh, Sudipto Dey Rana, Pankaj Sinha, Smita Kumari, Rakesh Prasad, Prabhat Kumar and Nikhil Sinha.
