Jamshedpur, Dec. 18: Union Tribal Minister on Saturday motivated technocrats of National Institute of Technology ( NIT) Jamshedpur to contribute to the self-reliant India campaign. He said that everyone should contribute not only for themselves but also in building the India of the Prime Minister’s dreams. He was addressing 11th Convocation ceremony of the tech cradle.
On the occasion, director of the institute Karunesh Kumar Shukla, dean academic Prof Amresh Kumar and training and placement officer Dr Prasad Prasad said that this year 85% of the students of the institute have got handsome salaries in comparison to previous years.
Munda presented topper student of civil engineering Bittu Kumar and topper student of postgraduate Y Vahini with gold medals and wished them all the best for their future.
A total of 904 students including 587 of B.Tech, 145 of M.Tech, 84 of MCA and 16 of PhD received certificates.
A total of 42 students on the annual salary of 40 to 50 lakhs, 65 students on the annual salary of 30 to 40 lakhs, 120 students on the annual salary of 20 to 30 lakhs have been selected by reputed companies. So far 97 students of computer science, 80 of civil, 84 of electrical, 96 of electronic communication, 89 of mechanical, 72 of production and industrial, 81 of metallurgical and 92 of MCA have been placed.
