Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Health and Disaster Management Minister of Jharkhand, Banna Gupta offered Astachalgami and Udiyaman prayers to Lord Bhaskar at the Neel Sarovar in Kadma on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Earlier, immediately on arrival at Jamshedpur, Banna Gupta had inspected facilities at Neel Sarovar. He then held meeting with the district administration and inspected all the Chhat Ghats in the city. He directed district officials to ensure that Chhat devotees faced no problems while offering prayers at the various Chhat ghats along the Twin Rivers, Kharkai and Swarnrekha, their Sonari confluence and at lakes and ponds used by the devotees for prayers. The district administration and Tata Steel put in laudable efforts as was evident in the ease and comfortable manner in which devotees performed Chhat prayers and rituals at he various banks on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
The ‘No Entry’ orders put in place by the district administration on Friday and Saturday morning made to and fro journeys to the ghats hassle-free. The road in the front of the Old Court was converted into one way movement to facilitate the movement of Chhat devotees.
Banna Gupta also arranged for free distribution of Chhat Puja requisites to devotees.
