Ayush Fair at Potka, Baharagora on Nov 26 and 27

Jamshedpur, Nov 23: A two day Block Ayush Fair will be organized at CHC complexes in Potka and Baharagora Blocks on November 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday) between 9 am and 4 pm each day.

District Ayush Medical Officer (DAMO) Dr Alok Chandra Srivastava stated that the two day The Block level Ayush Fair is to be organized between November 26 and 27 under government directives. He said that various maternal and child health programs, prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, nutritional deficiencies, community health problems caused by epidemics and vector-borne diseases would be the crux of the two camps. It may be mentioned that such Fairs/Camps are being conducted by the National AYUSH Mission as per schemes of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. “The Fairs are being organized with the aim of spreading health awareness and health facilities to the masses and benefitting them,” said Dr Srivastava.

The villagers attending the fairs will be explained about the benefits of free health services and counseling. Rural health check-up for communicable or non-communicable diseases (like diabetes, hypertension), creating awareness and providing health education about medicinal plants, solution of all types of health problems through Ayush method, Dr Srivastava further averred, “The people attending the Fairs will also be provided basic health care service through telephonic counseling and referral and will be suggested to avoid health related tensions by routinely performing yoga and meditation. The villagers will also be made aware of the importance of cleanliness, dietary habits among others.”
