Ample land for investors in Jharkhand, state booming with positive ambience: CM

Ranchi, Oct. 4 : With his commitment to make Jharkhand the second IT hub in the nation, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the govt. is ready to extend all support for investors.

The banks too, are willing to extend financial help to companies in the developing ambience of the state. We are having 200 acres of land bank for IT sector. The CM said it while addressing people on the inauguration of Jharkhand Summit at Hotel Chanakya BNR.

He said that the govt. of Jharkhand is focusing on IT which minimizes the distance between people and govt. the govt. is trying to make e-governance, e-village and e- Jharkhand. 150 people related services have been connected with e-governance. 1400 villages have been connected with IT under e-governance and by 2017, all the remaining panchayats will be connected with e-governance.

After formation of the govt., we made 4 policies related with IT which were praised by the American investors during our road show in America. Even in Mumbai, these policies were appreciated. Jharkhand has big youth force which can be of great help in development. He further added that Jharkhand wants to work as team with Center.

On this occasion Development Commissioner Amit Khare said that this program held in association with elets shows the various dimensions of development being done in the state. He said that the govt. wants to connect people with IT and the local youths are skilled in IT. He appealed experts to help people in this endeavour.

IT Secretary Sunil Kr. Barnwal said that the department is preparing Chief Minister Desk Board with an expenditure of Rs. 30 cr. to connect people and govt. After this, people will be able to avail the opportunity and benefit directly. On the direction of the CM, more than 15,000 youths have been trained in CISCO, ORACLE and SIEMENS.

Simultaneously, many new projects have been approved by the cabinet. In the forthcoming months, Jharkhand will see an investment of Rs. 23,000 cr. rupees. He said that many offices have been connected with e-office and in the next two and half years, the state will be working on paperless mode.

Technical education and skill development secretary Ajay Kr. Singh said that three new private and 1 govt.

universities have been opened in the state and process to open women colleges and polytechnics in 11 districts has been started. Inviting IT experts in the summit, he said that more than 100 colleges will be opened to develop IT.

The CM released elets IT magazine e-governance and felicitated officers and staff rendering remarkable efforts in the progress of IT. He also had a one-to-one talk with the officers of the companies.

On this occasion, the CM praised the work done in UP Transportation department. He felicitated Transport Commissioner K. Ravindra Nayak with E- Jharkhand Award for his performance in the field of IT.

V. P. Swaminathan of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Abhishek Kumar, Deputy VP, HDFC Bank and UP Transport Commissioner K. Ravindra Nayak along with other people, were present on this occasion.
