Ajsu leader�s house burgled

Jamshedpur, Nov. 22: Unidentified burglars decamped cash and goods worth several lakhs from a local AJSU leader�s house in Farm House Area under Kadma police station area here on late Saturday night.

Rajiv Ram, vice president, AJSU Jamshedpur Mahanagar, is currently in his native village and the house is being looked after by his father-in-law.

Talking about the incident, Rajiv Ram�s father-in-law said, �I come to the house on every second day evening and morning for cleaning. I last cleaned the house on Friday and when came on Sunday morning I was shocked to see the goods in the house strewn all over and soon informed about the incident to my son-in-law.�

Rajiv Ram called the Kadma police station and narrated the incident. Talking over the phone, the Ajsu leader said that the burglars decamped with cash worth Rs 70,000 and jewellery priced at Rs 1 lakh kept in a safe.

His father-in-law further informed that thieves also took away a TV set and gas stove. Burglars entered the house from the back side and it is estimated that the total loss could be anything between Rs. 2.5 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh.
