Jamshedpur :ADLS School observed World Suicide Prevention Day to promote awareness among students and the parents on the burning issue affecting so many lives.

The first speaker for the day Mrs. Sukanya Das spoke about the value and worth of life. She spoke about the problems faced and measures to overcome the stress so that the thought of suicide never comes to their mind. The consequences of suicide, the impact and pain undergone by the near and dear ones especially by the parents was highlighted. Then spoke Nimisha Ranpara who talked about life and role played by an individual to love life and live it to the fullest. Positivity is the key word on which she laid her stress upon.

There was a very interactive training session by Dr. Binita Panigrahi. She gave our students CPR Training (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). It was the most learning session. The life of future generation lies in the hands of our youth and students. They were taught to save a life in case of cardiac arrest. The students volunteered for the demonstration.

Dr. Binita an Associate Specialist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, TMH was extremely over whelmed at the response of the school and students. She said that ADLS Sunshine School is the only school in Jamshedpur who has taken an initiative to train the students in case of emergency medical situations. She felt that more and more schools should come forward for CPR Training session as first ten minutes are very important for the life of a patient.
