Jamshedpur, March 7: Burglars on Sunday night struck at Bengali Colony in Jawahar Nagar in Mango police station area and decamped with a Hero Honda motorbike and cash worth Rs 30,000.
According to victim, Krishna Chandra Choudhary, thieves also stole gold jewelry from the house. Krishna Chandra said the thieves entered the house and locked his room from outside.
They climbed on the terrace of the house and entered the room by knocking down the door. The miscreants fled with cash and gold jewelry kept in the safe.
They came to know about the incident in the morning when they found their room locked and opened it with the help of their neighbors. The victim has registered an FIR with the Mango police, who have started an investigation into the matter. Acting swiftly, the police have already nabbed the culprits.
It is worth noting that there is a spurt in cases of theft and burglary in the city. As the police have failed to solve any of the major cases, people are in constant fear.
