80 Jamshedpur karatekas attend belt colour belt exam

Students specifically girls should learn self-defence: SDO

Jamshedpur, March 13: All India Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation, affiliated to All Japan Karate Do Goju Ryu Kai & Japan Karate Federation, organized colour belt and black belt exam at Chamber Bhawan, in Bistupur on March 12.

On the occasion Piyush Sinha, SDO, Dhalbhum was present as chief guest.

80 Karatekas (boys and girls) representing 18 schools participated.

Examination was conducted by first examiner L Nageshwar Rao, 8th Dan Black Belt, second examiner Sumit Kumar Senapati, 5th Dan Black Belt and Niraj Kumar, 3rd Dan Black Belt.

Karatekas who cleared the test were given certificates.

SDO Piyush Sinha said that in today’s scenario all students specifically girls should learn self defence.

He applauded the organising team for wonderful work.

L. Nageshwar Rao, secretary, Organising Committee thanked the guests and encouraged the Karatekas.

Rao informed that soon free training camp will be organised by All India Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation for the girls.

Also present were Hassan Imam, Vijay Anand Moonka, Prashant Kumar, Manav Kedia,  Y Ishwar Rao,  Sriram Yadav, Amit Khandelwal, and others.
