Jamshedpur, June 16: A special Covid-19 vaccination camp was organised for BSNL employees and family members at Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi on Wednesday, June 16. Around 50 employees and their family got the first jab of Covishield vaccine during the special camp. Sanjeev Verma, general manager, BSNL’s Jamshedpur Secondary Switching Area (SSA) thanked East Singhbhum district administration for their support in organizing dedicated vaccination camp for BSNL employees and family. “In the current scenario telecommunications has become a major enabler in work from home and BSNL Jamshedpur is spearheading the same in Kolhan providing FTTH services in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan,” added GM. Earlier, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had asked the Ministry of Health to treat frontline telecom workers as “frontline warriors” so as to prioritise them for receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
