40 vehicles blacklisted, Rs12000 fine collected from 20 vehicle owners in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Taking strict steps against encroachers who park vehicles on the roadside from Pardih to Dimna Chowk, the District Administration launched an anti-encroachment drive today. Under the leadership of ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan and Executive Officer of Mango Notified Area Committee Deepak Sahay, strict action was taken against those who parked vehicles on the side of the highway against the rules and fined.


 Lal informed that the district administration will strictly deal with those who create obstacles in the maintenance of law and order by parking vehicles on the highway side. He said that the vehicle operators/drivers have not been given permission to encroach on the roads, due to which the possibility of road accidents remains. He clearly said that the district administration will take strict action against those who commit such acts.


District Transport Officer informed that action was taken to blacklist 40 vehicles while 8 vehicles were removed from the road by crane. He said that while collecting a fine amounting to about Rs 12000 from 20 vehicle owners, strict warning was given not to repeat such mistake in future. Along with this, making people aware about not encroaching the road through miking in the surrounding areas, action was given if they were found doing so. The District Transport Officer said that strict action would be taken against those who encroach on the road in order to reduce the chances of road accidents on the highway.
