Jamshedpur, Nov 28: On the second day of the hunger strike four protesting paramedical students were rushed to the MGM Medical College and Hospital this evening as their health condition deteriorated.
Mohammed Abdul(22), Sagar Samir (22) and Seema Kumari (20) all final year paramedical students attached with Dimna-based MGM Medical College developed vomiting and complained of fever due to hunger.
Two other agitating students Mamta Kumari (21) and Beauty Kumari (19) also complained of abdominal pain and nausea. Mamta was rushed to the hospital in the evening at around 6.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the indefinite hunger strike of the agitating paramedical students entered second day in front of the district collectorate as patients continued to be at the receiving end at the MGM Hospital due to the strike.
The paramedical students while doing their internship at MGM Hospital assist doctors and nurses.
The students went on strike November 21 after being rebuffed by the state health minister Rajendra Prasad Singh during his visit to the city on November 20 when the students presented their demand for stipend, hostel facility, guarantee of service and proper study atmosphere.
They sat on hunger strike from Wednesday
