Jamshedpur, May 14: The most sought-after Sports Summer Camp is all set for kick-off tomorrow (May 15) at 6:00 AM at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The 17-day camp is back in its physical format following a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
The objective of the camp is to create awareness about fitness, wellness and instil a healthy lifestyle among the children. Children in the age group of 6 years to 19 years have registered in sporting activities across 20 disciplines such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Handball, Horse Riding, Karate, Kabaddi, Roller Skate/Roll Ball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. Yoga and Zumba are open for all.
Experienced coaches from Sports Authority of India (SAI), international athletes and former Ranji players will impart training to the participants. Owing to the summer vacations in schools, the camp will witness large participation from children this time.
