Jamshedpur, Feb 23: East Singhbhum district education department has begun preparations to complete admissions process in the schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
According to sources, a school-wise list of applications received by the DSE office has been prepared. There are 2171 seats in the private schools under the RTE Act whereas the total number of applications received is around 1600. Last year, the total number of applications was around 1000, sources said.
Sources maintained that the birth and income certificates submitted along with admission forms would be verified. Admissions would begin in March or April, they said.
