157 students partcipate in poster making competition


    Jamshedpur, June 2: In order to make the children sensitise and aware about the importance of nature and environmnet, social organisation ‘Lok Samarpan’ organised a poster making competition at Graduate School College for Women on Sunday.

    The theme of the competition was based on environment. Total of 157 students from various schools of the city partcipated. The contest was divided into three groups in Group A students of class 3 and 4 participated on the subject ‘Sunrise-Sunset’. In Group B students of class 5 and 6 partcipated on the subject ‘Beauty of Nature’. India is a country of villages and the villages are present in the lap of nature.

    In Group C students of class 7 and 8 partcipated on the subject ‘Village Life’.

    The winners of the competition will be felicitated during the conclusion of the competition on Monday. Chief guest for the occasion will be vice-chancellor of Kolhan University Dr. Shukla Mohanty.

    Keeping in mind the World Environemnt Day on June 5, the organisers will host a environemnt awareness march and plantation programme to mark the day. To make the poster making competition successfull, Lalit Das, president of ‘Lok Samarpan’, secretary Neeraj Kumar and others provided full support.

    The judges for the contest wer Tamal Sengupta, Sourav Patra, Shivlal Mahato, Ashok Kumar Maity, Laxmi Dey, Tapasi Rai.
